Earlier this week, Donald Trump appointed anti-contraception activist, Teresa Manning, to be the deputy assistant secretary for population affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services. Manning's appointment would give her control over Title X, a program which provides contraceptive services to millions of low-income and uninsured Americans. Such a move would greatly increase the barriers women face in accessing affordable reproductive healthcare and further support the Trump administration’s treatment of women as second-class citizens.
